This is the third year I’ve started a December Daily album. I finished my 2011 album somewhere around November of 2012 and I haven’t quite finished my 2012 album yet…. LOL
This year I’m going to try something a little different. I’m not going to focus as much on the daily part as I’m going to focus on the stories. This way if I miss a day here or there, it won’t derail me as much because I’m setting out knowing I won’t be scrapping every day. I bought the Studio Calico kit and I love Ali’s focus on transparency this year. I’m combining the Studio Calico kit with some of the Capture Your December journal cards to create my foundation pages. Now that I have the core of the album together,I hope to be able to complete the pages one day at a time.
I decided to start my album on Thanksgiving and my goal is to keep going until December 31. I am really excited about the Capture Your December daily prompts Katrina Kennedy will be posting in the Scrap Orchard forum because in the past, I have really struggled with coming up with stories to tell. For the most part, my December isn’t all that different from any other month and after I get the December basics covered, I’m often left a little lost on where to go next. Katrina’s prompts will help give me ideas of stories to tell- holiday, seasonal and every day!
As I was putting together my foundation pages, I found myself missing some elements so I made some word art to cut out on my silhouette. I thought I would share them with you in case you can use them too!
Make sure you stop by the forum and share your projects with us! Katrina’s first prompt will be posted tomorrow!
