Last week I had the amazing opportunity to meet up with some real-life Digi Celebs for the weekend in Anaheim!! We gathered from all corners of the country to attend the Anaheim CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) show and got to hang out, get to know each other and have a lot of fun! Some of these gals I had met before but most of them I hadn’t met before. It was so awesome getting to put faces and real-life connections with these on-line names! We had so much fun and there are so many stories to tell! But here are just some of the highlights from the weekend!
After I picked up Chelle Ludwinski, Jen Svane & Katrina Kennedy from various Southern California airports and we headed over to the Irvine Spectrum for lunch. We walked around and caught up and had the most lovely afternoon. I seriously love these girls!!
We grabbed Peppermint Granberg Jones up from the airport (no photo- boo!) and we headed over to our hotel to get checked in. After we checked in, we headed to Downtown Disney to meet up with Steph & Katie (from The Daily Digi and The Digi Show) and walked around some of the stores. Katie took this photo of me, Chelle & Jen at Sephoria:
We still had some time to kill so we headed over to Steph & Katie’s room to hang out for a bit.
*Listen to this weeks episode of The Digi Show to hear the story behind this picture!*
Then we headed over to PF Chang’s for a Digi Dinner with some of the gals from The Lily Pad!
Here’s one of my favorite pictures from the dinner- taken by Heather Joyce with her iPhone Panorama Camera:
L-R: Amy Martin, Liz Tamanaha, Karah Fredericks, Katie Nelson, Laura McCandless, Sara Gleason, Chelle, Jen, Me, Peppermint, Steph, Katrina, Wes Joyce
*not in picture: Jacque Larsen (she’s next to Liz) and Heather (she’s taking the picture)
After dinner, we called it a night. We had to get up bright an early for a breakfast meet up the next morning!
The next morning we headed over to Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel and had breakfast with our new Digi friends!
Then we headed over to the show! We roamed around and ran in to some pretty awesome people including Donna Downey & Tim Holtz:
And we saw a white Faber-Castell Big Brush Pen- which is almost as elusive as the Loch Ness Monster and this is probably about as close as I’ll ever get to one again! LOL
While we were hanging out in the Prima booth, I noticed these digi inspired layouts:
If you look closely- you can see where the photo ends and the artist has painted in the background to look like it’s blended in to the page!!
I thought it was pretty awesome to see digi inspiration in the paper market!!!
After CHA we meet up with some Digi Locals at Downtown Disney! It was so fun, we ended up just standing in front of the Lego store and talking for hours. Finally the cold started getting to us and we had to call it a night. We snapped this photo of all of us- together for the last time.
The next day I headed over to Steph & Katie’s room to tape this week’s episode of The Digi Show LIVE with Steph, Katie, Peppermint and Katrina. It was a blast! Getting to sit around a table and talk face-to-face with these ladies about something we are all so passionate about was truly the highlight of my weekend!
Then we headed over to Disneyland for a photo walk with Katrina! Another highlight of the weekend, just walking around with my new friends at the Happiest Place on Earth!!
I really feel so honored to have been able to spend the weekend with these lovely ladies and to get to know them all better and in-real-life!
